About

I run global payroll implementations, and I build the software that runs them.

Here’s the honest version. I’m the person who checks a number twice, from two directions, before I believe it — because in payroll the number is someone’s rent. That instinct is the whole job. Everything else is just being patient enough to follow it through.

I came up through Rippling’s payroll support floor and ended up leading it for APAC. Then I moved to the build side at Crimson, where I’m now putting payroll on the ground in five countries. Somewhere in the middle, the tooling quietly became half the work — so I started writing AI skills that do a week of contract drafting or census matching in a single prompt, and run them on live payroll, not in a demo.

The throughline

Most people in payroll operations don’t write software. Most people who write software have never sweated a pay run. I do both, on the same problems, at the same time — and it turns out they’re the same discipline. Designing a payroll system precisely enough that an auditor trusts it is the same work as designing it precisely enough that an AI can operate it. Get the rules exact, and the leverage shows up on both sides.

The degree is from RV College of Engineering in Bengaluru; the real education was two and a half years at Rippling, watching exactly how payroll breaks, followed by being handed five countries to stand up at Crimson. I’d rather be boring about accuracy than clever about anything else — people’s salaries are not a place for vibes.

The path here

  1. 2019–2023

    RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru

B.E. in Information Science. I spent more time building websites for people on the side than I’d admit to my professors — which is where I learned that shipping something real beats planning the perfect thing.

  2. Aug 2023 – Dec 2025

Rippling — R&D Global Payroll APAC, then Team Lead

Started on the support floor and ended up leading APAC across Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore, and the Philippines — 4,000+ cases, 20+ countries, 99.9% accuracy. I got tired of the same questions arriving over and over, so I built the answers into systems: an EOR certification curriculum across three tracks, a QA case-tracking setup, incident-response runbooks, and a rebuilt knowledge base. Triage got about a third faster. Two Year-End MVPs and a Q1 Payroll Ops Rockstar came out of that stretch — but the part I’m proud of is that fewer tickets needed me at all.

  3. Jan 2026 – now

Crimson Education — Global Payroll & People Operations Partner

Now I’m on the other side of the table, standing up payroll across Australia, the UK, Canada, India, and the US. Australia ships first. I owned the HRIS migration end to end — reconciling the census, importing the history, auditing the documents — and designed Australia’s payroll architecture from the pay calendar up, with every pay type’s tax treatment written down so the next person inherits decisions instead of mysteries. I also run India payroll, month in and month out.

  4. Alongside all of it

    Side builds & AI tooling

Production AI skills that do real payroll work, a handful of websites for real organisations, and this site. I build the thing, then I build the thing that runs the thing.

What’s in the kit

Global payroll platforms, at admin depth and from both sides of the vendor relationship · Claude & Claude skills (two in production) · Python · SQL · Next.js / TypeScript · Excel taken to audit depth · and the ATO, EPFO, and IRS rulebooks, read more closely than I’d like to admit.
